Can I congratulate you all on the excellent updated website for Bridge players. I have previously worked in course administration developing curriculum at university level and the new Joan Butt's School of Bridge website is an excellent example of guiding students at all levels. Whether it be as a beginner working systematically through a series of modules to understanding the nuances of Bridge, or a more experienced player who can choose the section or topic at an appropriate level and practice and learn in stand alone modules. I feel this new format is a "game changer" for people wishing to learn and improve their Bridge game. Congratulations to you all.

I absolutely love your new website and eagerly wait for each week's lesson. Having never played cards before, I sought something to stimulate my brain and found my start with learners bridge in 2020. Despite the pause due to the shutdown for COVID, my enthusiasm hasn't waned. Now, as I turned 80 years old this year, I simply love continuing my bridge learning journey with Joan by my side.
I recently upgraded to platium membership. I now enjoy lessons for all levels and live online classes with Joan. Her guidance in bidding, play of the hand, and defense, plus her analysis of practice hands, is incredibly helpful. I learn so much from these videos. I am based in Austin, Texas. Joan, as a teacher, and her website, as a resource, have largely contributed to my passion for bridge. I also enjoy the social aspects of playing and treasure the friends I have made through bridge. I found in my early years that most teachers tried to impart too much of their vast knowledge so I welcomed Joan’s method of addressing just one thing at a time. Her years of experience in playing and teaching shine through. Joan has shown confidence in my willingness to take beginner classes, in an attempt to attract new players, despite the fact that I am still a Novice myself. Her teaching course is well scripted with explanatory videos, Student Notes, Teacher Notes, Hand Analysis, and Deal Records. I hope that I can continue to play bridge, and even improve, for many years to come.
