Lesson 1 - General Bidding Discussion

An open forum to discuss bidding foundations.

Lesson 2: Bidding in No Trumps
Wednesday, 14 February: 9-10am AEDT

What is a balanced hand is explored in this lesson, as well as responding with balanced and unbalanced hands. Being accurate with your point count is important here.

Lesson 3 - Opener’s Next Move
Wednesday, 21 February: 9-10am AEDT

The second round of the bidding is crucial for deciding how high and where to play the hand. Opener should be accurate about their shape and strength at the same time.

Lesson 4 - Responder’s Next Move
Wednesday, 28 February: 9-10am AEDT

Responder is often called "the decider", because they take the information their partner the opener has given them, and decide what the final contract should be.
The second and subsequent rounds of the bidding all contribute to reaching a conclusion.
